Dear Lori, Michael, Jeff Lubin and Band,

Thank you so much for the wonderful job that you did at our wedding at the Allegria. The music was incredible, people are still talking about it! We’ve heard many comments like, ” they were the best band we’ve ever heard at a wedding.” The band really got the crowd involved and interacted with our guests. We are so thrilled. We had a great wedding! I am sure you will receive many inquiries from our wedding guests and friends!

Many, many, thanks,

Layne, Jason, and our families

Where do I start? You are absolutely amazing in every way! I don’t know how you do it. Your band was everything we were hoping for at our wedding at then some–you completely exceeded our expectations. The music sounded fabulous, and you just put your absolute 100% into it. I was staring at you in amazement at one point because I don’t know how you didn’t pass out. You just kept going and going and going! In particular, the slow version of Journey during the ceremony was so moving, and you guys really nailed the Across the Universe version of I Wanna Hold Your Hand. And, my dad was so pumped that you did Eddie and the Cruisers.

Not that you need references at this point, but please use me as a reference if anyone ever asks for one. I would be thrilled to sing your praises.

You are terrific-thanks for making our wedding terrific too.

American Friends of Tel Aviv Gala

Dear Kim and Mike,

I wanted to let you know that the band was excellent at the AFTAM Gala on Thursday night. Our itinerary kept changing unexpectedly and your band was so reliable and easy to wrok with when we threw them more and more than one curve ball.

Our pianist was running quite late and your keyboardist was going to step in at the very last minute if we needed him to, which was the first “save” of the night. it was hectic few minutes and your keyboardist was more than willing to go along with this sudden change. In the end, our pianist showed up, but it was comforting to know we had a solid, if unplanned, backup with your keyboardist (I wish I knew his name!).

Later, during dinner, through some miscommunication, our pianist left. Again, we called upon your keyboardist/knight-in-shining-armor. We ran downstairs, rushed him upstairs, and he played beautifully for the few minutes we needed him to. He might not have thought much of it, but I did and do.

Saying thank you doesn’t seem quite sufficient, but I don’t know what else to say. Thank you most sincerely to the most accomodating professional wonderful people to work with that evening.

All the best,

Scott and Maura

To everyone at Hank Lane:

Just wanted to thank you for recommending “Eclipse” for our band at our wedding. They did an amazing job! They were constantly tons of people on the dance floor and everyone had a great time! The band definitely helped make the day unforgettable. Thank you again!

P.S. Spencer-thank you for making a perfect match with the band. It suited our preferences perfectly!

Dear Marc,

Many thanks for maming Julie and Warren’s wedding day so magical. I don’t recall a time when the Pierre dance floor was packed at 1:30 AM ~ a real tribute to your talent.

Your band looked amazing in the white dinner jackets, you really came through for the bride!

I look forward to celebrating many more wonderful events with you and your group. You exceeded my very high expectations-wishing you a lovely and hopefully relaxing summer.

Rainforest Alliance Benefit

Hank Lane‘s Michael Hart Band performed last night at a benefit for the Rainforest Alliance at the American Museum of Natural History. More than 500 guests attended the black tie gala held under the giant blue whale in the Hall of Oceanic Life. Hank Lane Music shared the stage for a special performance by former New York Yankees star Bernie Williams with his jazz band. Bernie played two songs off of his newly released CD. As he said to Michael and the band after finishing his set, “Not bad for a jock, huh?” We couldn’t agree more. Bernie was as nice in person as could be. Soft spoken, humble and a real gentleman. A Hank Lane classical Spanish guitarist played for the cocktail hour. Michael Hart’s band played a variety of American and Latin pop for the diverse international audience in attendance.

The Rainforest Alliance seeks to conserve biodiversity through its programs in sustainable forestry, agriculture, tourism and climate in over 76 countries worldwide. According to Tensie Whelan, president of the Rainforest Alliance, “The companies and individuals honored during our annual gala are those that show leadership in their efforts to make farms, forests and tourism operations more sustainable so that future generations may also enjoy them.”

It was cold and windy but more than 12,000 undergraduates, graduate students, friends and family braved the weather and packed a six block radius party at NYU’s annual “Grad  Alley” celebration. DJ Marcus and MC Kevin had them rocking on Gould Plaza in front of the Stern School of Business. They finished the evening with the crowd singing along to Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.”
